Through the driveway at the back of the house, you will find the barn/garage on the left. You can park your car securely here if you wish. You will also find bicycles and other recreational items for your use stored here. Walk round the right side of the house will take you to the rear entrance. A short and easy stone staircase leads to the door which is on an attractive vine-covered balcony. At the front of the house, a door leads to front porch, where three stone steps take you down to the beautiful garden between the cellar of the house and the bread-oven. In the cellar you will find the barbecue, the washing-machine and wood for the fire-place etc. A climbing vine (with local grapes) gives very nice shade over the wrought-iron table and chairs, so that you can have pleasant drinks and meals outside. You can also have a rest
on the deck-chairs if the children are playing at the baby-pool,
on the slide or at the sandbox.
Behind the bread oven, another separate part of the garden has a set of swings. The children can play on the swings and will feel that they are independent (though they are only a few metres away). The garden is enclosed with wooden gates. Another part of the land (about 1500sq meters) which belongs to the house, goes half way down the hill and gives unspoilt views over the valley. |
